IPO’s network of innovation-focused partners amplifies technology commercialization programs and results.

IPO sponsors/manages various programs that enhance the entrepreneurial skills of LLNL’s workforce to spur innovation and seed commercialization of Laboratory intellectual assets.

i-GATE and Daybreak Labs

The i-GATE Innovation Hub is the result of collaboration efforts among the City of Livermore, Sandia National Labs (Sandia-California), and LLNL. It aims to support startups and economic development in the Tri-Valley region of California.

i-GATE’s work centers around national laboratories as anchors of innovation, and manages the Daybreak Labs incubator — benefitting multiple startups commercializing LLNL technology by providing research facilities and equipment.

Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group (ITV)

ITV brings together Tri-Valley businesses, research labs, educational institutions, and civic leaders and advocates for regional innovation. As a member, LLNL joins many other companies — including Kaiser-Permanente, Sandia National Laboratories, Chevron, AT&T, Lam Research, PG&E, Topcon Positioning Systems, and Mirador Capital Partners — to generate job growth and economic vitality for the region.
