Greg Hitchan has more than 20+ years in the investment business. Greg graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1988 and served as a Naval Intelligence Officer with tours of duty with an F-14 Squadron in Virginia Beach and the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, D.C. After graduating Stanford Law School, Greg practiced corporate and securities law for 7 years in Silicon Valley representing both private, public companies and start up companies in a wide variety of legal matters. In 2005, Greg became the Chief Operating Officer of Blum Capital Partners, a multi-billion dollar private equity/hedge fund where he was involved and responsible for many aspects of the firm's operations and investments. Greg is currently focusing on early stage start up investments in the Tri-Valley region of California with emphasis on innovative and transformative technologies through the venture firm he founded named Tri Valley Capital which occupies a 30k sq ft accelerator space in the business center of Pleasanton. In addition to serving on the boards of several Tri Valley Capital portfolio companies, Greg also serves on the leadership group of Innovation Tri-valley. Greg also is active in the commercialization process and transfer of technology from the Lawrence Livermore and Sandia National Labs for industrial and research related endeavors and very much enjoys working with the dedicated groups at those institutions to accomplish that common goal. Greg is also a member of Congressman Swalwell's Economic Development Advisory Committee and truly enjoy's helping entrepreneurs built businesses from the ground up.
