Bobby Brown is a graduate student with a memorable name and dynamic personality from Georgetown University's Master of Biotechnology program. As a student in the program’s entrepreneurship track, Bobby has completed coursework in commercialization, portfolio management and intellectual property. To bolster his knowledge of technology transfer and business development, he interned with Georgetown's Office of Technology Commercialization prior to joining the IPO team as a Business Development and Market Intelligence intern. Bobby's assignments at LLNL included an audit of the Life Sciences Instrumentation portfolio which resulted in recommendations for commercialization strategies. He also provided a strategy for incorporating social media into IPO's commercialization activities as well as brainstormed ideas for introducing an inventor recognition program to the laboratory to spur innovation. With a background in health and wellness, Bobby hopes to incorporate his technical knowledge of biotechnology, metabolic pathways and human perform to help create a happier, healthier world.
