My name is Laura Andrews, and I am currently a student at Georgetown University, completing my master of science in biotechnology. Prior to graduate school, I attended University of California, Santa Barbara, where I attained my bachelor of science in Microbiology, and a minor in art history. I grew up in the Bay Area in Marin County, and enjoy spending my weekends in the Napa Valley and Tahoe. Some of my hobbies include dressage, tennis, and skiing. After graduation, I aspire to work in tech transfer of bio- and material-related areas, and in the long run, develop a biotech company working on advancing early stage cancer diagnostics, as well as developing cures for autoimmune diseases.
